After
the conquest of the Inca Empire by the Spanish invaders, only a few native
princes managed to flee into the mountains. In Machu Picchu, a hidden city
in the Andes, they build up a new peaceful society with their families. But
beware: The Spanish are nearby and threaten to discover their final enclave
soon! The Incas must use all their priests and virgins of the sun to acquire
the help of the sun god Tayta Inti. Otherwise, the Spanish will arrive in this
sacred city looking for the prince who can offer the most gold.

Princes of Machu Picchu” is a strategy game for 2 – 5
players. As a Prince of the Inca they can either try to collect points for
an Inca victory, or they can collect gold to prepare themselves for a Spanish
victory. Players try to influence the outcome of the game to match their strategy
– but often it remains unclear which side will rule the mountains until the
game has almost finished.
